Get Creative on One of Our Painting Workshops!
The Painting Workshops are held at Blenheim Barn in Swanley Village, Kent, and take place at the weekend. Currently, I offer two options:
1. Furniture painting for beginners
Approximately 4 hours
Furniture Painting For Beginners (approx 4 hours). This is perfect for those who have little or no experience. You will practice using chalk, mineral and soya paints, such as Dixie Belle, Fusion and DAB, and also cover the options for application. In addition, you will learn about the importance of the prep work required, such as cleaning, priming and sanding. Finally, we will cover the options for sealing the paint, and also dabble with some distressing techniques and gilding!
2. Paint a piece workshops
Approximately 8 hours over two days
This workshop can also be suitable for beginners, and is definitely suited to those who have been on the Beginners Workshop or those who have had a little prior experience. In this workshop the attendees will bring along their own small piece of furniture to work on. You will carry out all the necessary prep work, painting and sealing. As your instructor, I will guide you methodically through these steps, and by the end of the workshop you will have produced a fabulous piece of painted furniture to take home. I am sure you will feel proud of what you will achieve!
